    They walk majestically, taking moment to lower their beaks to scoop some insect out of the stony ground. they then slowly head to a garbage heap and settle there for some time, feeding and probably gossiping about the folly of people who dispose of more paper than edible stuff.

    Sabrina Kitaka was 11 years old and in senior one when her mother first talked to her about menstruation. Her father was liberal and did not think along the gender roles. Kitaki, a paediatrician today, is worried owing to trends that show adolescents are continuing to expose themselves to risky sexual activity with a resultant large number acquiring Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and opting for unsafe abortions when they get pregnant.

    Fate of delayed tourism institute.

    When the World Bank gave a loan to the Ministry of Tourism in 2013, $12m (Shs4.3b) was set aside for the re-development of Hotels and Tourism Training Institute (HTTI) in Jinja, Eastern Uganda. This came as a good news and a reason for excitement among stake holders in the hospitality sector because capacity building remains a major challenge in the industry.

    How to take care of your foreskin:

    The foreskin is a flap of skin that covers the head of the penis and attaches at the base of the head. Baby boys are born with the foreskin fully attached to their penis, but it gradually loosens as they age. By the time boys reach puberty, the foreskin can usually be retracted down to the base of the glans with ease.

    Mbae milks millions from goats.

    When purity Mbae realised her baby was loctose intolerant, she had to find a solution. It lay in goat milk. Her mother-in-law, in Kenya, reared goats and she willingly shared with her some milk. However, it was not convenient for her to journey for milk when she could rear goats too.

    The Nutritional value of ginger

    Every time charlotte kiluteka has been asked about her secret to weight loss, she has told friends that it is a combination of working out and religiously taking three cups of warm water. In the morning, every afternoon and before bed, I take a cup of warm or hot water with ginger. And to add a little flavour, I put some mint leaves and nothing more. No sugar, she explains.
