    Jinja cancels contract with Platex Construction.

    The tender of Platex Construction Company based in Juba, South Sudan, to construct main street and Eng. Zikusooka streets in Jinja municipality, has been cancelled. Majidu Batambuze, the Jinja Municipal had some anomalies, which prompted the municipal council to annul the contract.

    Kumi teachers absconding from work, says RDC

    Teachers from Kumi district have been cautioned against dogding classses in order to engage in petty jobs such as ploughing gardens and riding bodabodas.The RDC said some teachers only report and sign attendance books and later disappear to do petty jobs.

    Senide blames new schools for falling standards

    The mushrooming private and government-aided schools involved in purchasing examinations and lesson plans from printing bureaus are causing poor education standards, the education standards, the education state minister, Rose Mary Seninde has warned. She also added that politicians influence district service commissions to recruit unqualified persons.
