    Reconsideration of GMO Bill good move.

    President Yoweri Museveni has declined to assent to the National Biotechnology and Biosafety Act, 2012, and instead asked parliament to revisit a number of the Bill's clauses. In all, the President wants seven clauses reconsidered specifically to address the issues of protection of consumers, the indigenous crops and animals.

    Tampering with school fees will do more harm

    Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) has called on the Government to regulate school fees as a way to make it affordable for all. They said the fees being charged by private schools were high, discriminative and affecting the quality of education in the country.
