    Kasese: The government under the Ministry of Education in 2014 launched a project code named 'Uganda Multi-sectoral Food Security and Nutrition project' that is being piloted in 100 primary schools in Kasese District. According to the Kasese District Education Oficer, George Mayinja, the pilot study follows the survey the indicated high malnutrition and stunted growth levels that are beleived to be causing poor academic performance in schools.
