    China offers Sh109b grant for customs modernisation

    Court halts Kampala- Jinja expressway compensation.

    Court has halted all compensation payment on land for the Kampala- Jinja Expressway project until the dispute between the private estate of Ssekabaka Daudi Chwa and Buganda Land Board (BLB) is resolved. The order dated August 1, was issued by Justine Atukwasa, the assistant registrar of the Land Division of the High Court in Kampala.

    Hoima oil waste company blacklisted in South Africa.

    Kayihura’s former aide accused of land grabbing

    Residents of Butuntumula in Luweero district have accused Ambrose Murunga, a former aide to the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura of land grabbing and in the process affecting 5o families. The victims said Murunga was protected by policemen with guns and claimed he owned the land.
