    Assembling of new cancer machine starts this week.

    'Infant formula causes obesity'.

    A senior consultant and paediatrician at the Mulago Hospital has said mothers who feed babies with infant formula risk making them obese, something which will greatly impact their health.     Makerere University spends Shs21.8b on illegal payments.

    Makerere University has incurred a loss of shs21.8b in a series of irregularities, ranging from shoddy procurement practices, illegal payments to staff. Including some who quit the University long age and over payments of staff salaries. Part of the loss was attributed to payments to staff on study leave or payments to bridge gaps created by teaching staff who have failed to clock the minimum 10-hours teaching load per week.

    Sh9m bill delay Mulago cancer machine, says health minister.

    The Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) had by last evening not yet assembled the long-awaited radiotherapy machine, which arrived in the country last week. It means that the testing and launch will be delayed for some weeks. UCI sources at Mulago Hospital have revealed.
