    Greater Masaka to access e-Government network

    Government has finalised arrangements to connect districts in greater Masaka sub-region to the national data transmission backbone infrastructure, also known as e-Government network. In 2011, government through the National Information Technology Authority (NITA), undertook to implement the national data transmission project, a move that would help improve collection of data of public importance and interconnect government agencies.

    Masaka NRM leaders blame loss on EC registers.

    National Resistance Movement leaders in Masaka District have blamed the party loss in the district in last Thursday's elections on the voters' registration method used by the Electoral Commission. According to results from the elections, NRM was beaten in the district both in the presidential and parliamentary elections save for only Bukoto Central Constituency where Vice President Edward Ssekandi managed to retain the seat.
