Abstract
Predatory non-deposit-taking institutions fleecing unsuspecting members remains a cancer in the Ugandan economy. There are still many Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies (SACCOS) that prey on people's hard-earned savings, despite efforts of local authorities to curtail such practices.
