The study also established that parental income, parents’ educational level, home leaning conditions and availability of learning materials highly affect students’ performance The study concluded that socio-economic factors play an important role in determining students’ performance in advanced level mathematics. It recommended more support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds through provision of learning materials, financial aid programmers and improved school programmes.
