Abstract
The elections for district chairpersons and mayors in Karamoja sub-region registered a low turnout in some districts. At around 8am most polling stations in Moroto Municipality were open but there were no voters. Some voters who spoke to Daily Monitor claimed they were disgusted by the failing of most of the candidates they had voted for in the presidential election.
