Much of the cattle corridor is under a quarantine. This is because oof endless bouts of mainly foot and mouth disease. In a three part series, the origin of the disease will be examined, why it persists and what should be done to get rid of it. In the first part, Joshua Kato examines where foot and mouth disease comes from and why measures to stop it are not bearing fruit.
