Abstract
This study will examine to examine the impact of school gardens on the agricultural learning of pupils in butaleja. The study was aimed at achieving the following objective; 1. To explore the importance of school gardens to academic achievement of pupils 2. To assess impact of the school garden program on the learning of an agriculture topic 3. To establish the effects having practical agricultural lessons in the school gardens Both qualitative and quantitative approach were be used in the study. The study is guided by a case study design. The study is targeting at teachers and pupils Purposive sampling were applied to sample respondents. The data collection instruments were open ended questionnaires, interview guide and observation schedule. The quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS Version 21 and qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis. The findings of the study will benefit education stakeholders like ministry of education, government, community and parents collaboratively implore strategies to strengthen the house hold income of different in the community.
