Abstract
Mabira forest in Uganda is a rainforest covering area of about 300sq km. The forest has been protected as the Mabira Forest Reserve since 1932. The rainforest is a habitat for many endangered bird, animal and plant species. Recently, the media reported that Mabira forest is fast disappearing as a result of numerous human activities.
