Abstract
The speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has urged headteachers to produce global citizens with skills to compete for international jobs. Speaking at the launch of a fundraising drive for the renovation of the physics laboratory at Parvatiben Muljibhai Madhvani (PMM) girls in Jinja last week, Kadaga said one of the strategies to give students a competitive edge on the global scene is to equip them with a second international language.
