| dc.description.abstract | This report presents an account of Busitema University’s participation in the 12th Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Games - Cairo 2026, hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt from 8 to 16 September 2026. It covers the preparations undertaken by the University, the participation of the selected sports teams, the delegation’s performance, financial accountability and recommendations for strengthening future international university sports engagements. The Games brought together university athletes and officials from across Africa to compete in a range of sporting disciplines and to promote university sports, cultural exchange, friendship and institutional collaboration. The closing report published by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) indicated that the Games involved 2,082 participants from 82 universities representing 18 countries, competing in 18 main sports, four para-sports and three exhibition sports. | |
