Abstract
Dr Atwine Diana, the Permanent secretary explains that the sector has refocused it's plans and budgets on preventive interventions, particularly community mobilisation and empowerment, immunisation, sanitation and hygiene, malaria prevention and control, HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases and nutrition. To undertake this, the directorate of public health has been created in the new structure and recruitment will soon commence.
