Abstract
Uganda's fight against HIV and AIDS remain one of the country's most significant public health achievements. From devastating peak of 1990s. when HIV prevalence exceeded 18%, to the current rate of about 4.9%, Uganda has demonstrated that politica; leadership, community mobilisation and collective action can change the course of an epidemic.
