Abstract
On any given Sunday in Kampala and beyond, the churches are full. Faith is not a private whisper in Uganda; it is a public declaration. And yet, more than a century ago, German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche made a chilling observation in his book The Gay Science, " God is dead. We have killed him".
