Abstract
As the new term begins, teachers in rural schools have been called upon to instill a reading culture among learners in a bid to improve academic standards. The district education officer, Mr Mike Nangosya, asked the teachers to intensify guidance and counselling sessions geared towards instilling both discipline and a reading culture in schools.
