Abstract
Medical workers in Mpigi District breathed a sigh of relief when the Health Unit Management Committees (HUMCs) were restored at their health institutions last week. The committee system was restored by the district local government through the advocacy efforts of Action for Rural Women's Empowerment (ARUWE), a non-profit organisation operating in the district.
