Parliament has for years faced criticism over spending on convoys, travel, donations, allowances and other administrative costs. The election of the new Speaker Jacob Marksons Oboth-Oboth, is now raising expectations that the 12th Parliament could finally rein in what many Ugandans see as a growing appetite for expenditure.
