Local communities in Nagongera traditionally use Trichoderma, a naturally occurring soil fungus, to treat skin fungal infections because of its antifungal properties. Trichoderma produces enzymes and secondary metabolites that inhibit and destroy pathogenic fungi. This study aimed to investigate the antifungal activities of Trichoderma compounds and formulate an antifungal cream for treating skin fungal infections. Laboratory experiments were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the extract and assess the cream’s properties including pH, spreadability, viscosity, stability, washability, texture, skin irritation, and retention time on the skin. The formulated cream showed good physicochemical properties, stability, and minimal skin irritation. The Trichoderma extract demonstrated effective antifungal activity against common skin fungal pathogens. The study concluded that Trichoderma compounds have significant potential as a natural and effective treatment for fungal skin infections and can be successfully formulated into a topical antifungal creamen-USFORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF A TOPICAL ANTIFUNGAL CREAM FROM TRICHODERMA EXTRACTSBook
