(ii) To examine the relationship between administrative roles on the Performance of selected primary schools in Butaleja District, Uganda, and (iii) To establish the relationship between planning & organizing role on Performance of selected primary schools in Butaleja District, Uganda. This research employed a descriptive correlation design to describe the relationship between the roles of the School Management Committee and the Performance of selected primary schools in Butaleja District, Uganda. The study used a population of 89 and a sample size of 84 respondents. Questionnaires were used for reaching respondents who were randomly and purposively selected to be part of the study and the data collected was organized and analyzed to generate information for the research conclusions. The results showed a positive relationship (r=.724; Sig F=0.000) between the supervisory role and the performance of a subset of primary schools in the Butaleja district of Uganda. This suggests that as the supervisory role improves, so does the performance of primary schools in the Butaleja district of Uganda, and vice versa. The results of this study demonstrated a positive significant relationship between the administrative role and the performance of primary schools (r=.514 and Sig.F=0.000), and they also showed a significant relationship between the planning and organizing role and the performance of primary schools in the Butaleja district of Uganda (r=.357, sig=0.000). The researcher came at the following conclusions: improved planning and organization improves the performance of chosen primary schools in Uganda's Butaleja district, as does an effective supervisory function. The researcher came to the following conclusions: the management committee members should assess each student's performance on time; this will help them become better supervisors; and the management of the school should routinely check the attendance of the students; This can be accomplished by calling the students' names each day.en-USThe roles of school management committee and performance of selected primary schools in Butaleja district, Uganda.Thesis
