Busitema Digital Environment for Access to Research and Scholarship
BDEARS, the Busitema Digital Environment for Access to Research and Scholarship, collects, disseminates, and provides persistent and reliable access to the research and scholarship of academic and administrative staff, and students (Graduates and Undergraduates) at Busitema University
- Academic staff and graduate students can deposit their research and scholarship directly into BDEARS. Academic staff may use BDEARS to fulfill Busitema University open access policy, and in many cases may use it to fulfill open access requirements from grant funding agencies.
- Faculties and departments can use BDEARS to distribute and preserve their working papers, technical reports, or other research material.
- BDEARS also includes all graduate theses and dissertations since the University Opened in 2007.
- The university is running two institutional repositories. The old institutional repository - Busitema University Institutional Repository contains materials untill June 2023. All the materials currently submitted effective July 2023 are archived in the new institutional repository - BDEARS
