    Japanese envoy warns on mishandling road equipment.

    The Japanese Ambassador to Uganda has warned the Works ministry over poor maintenance of road equipment that he said has resulted in the breakdown of machines. Mr. Kazuaki Kameda made the remarks while launching a training workshop on road equipment for 250 operators from 35 districts of eastern Uganda at the Civil Service College Uganda in Jinja on Monday.

    One dead, 4 injured in Mabira accident.

    One person died on the stop and four others sustained injuries following an accident in Mabira forest on the Kampala- Jinja high way yesterday. The police say the accident happened when the driver of a speeding trailer lost control and knocked a commuter taxi that was Jinja bound from Kampala.
