    Determinants Of Income Inequality In Uganda. A Case Study Of Budaka Town Council, Budaka District.

    This research report titled Determinants of income inequality in Budaka Town Council, Budaka District, Uganda. The study was guided by the following research objectives; to determine the relationship between income inequality and demographic characteristics in Budaka Town Council, to investigate the level of employment and income inequality in Budaka Town Council and to investigate the level of income and income inequality in Budaka Town Council. The findings of the study revealed that majority of the respondents were aged (21-30) and (31-40) years, more men were engaged in the study compared to women, and majority of the persons engaged were married. Furthermore the findings reveal that disparities in educational access significantly contribute to income inequality, as individuals with higher education levels tend to secure better-paying jobs. Additionally, the lack of diversified employment opportunities exacerbates income disparities, particularly among the youth and women. The study concludes with policy recommendations aimed at enhancing educational access, promoting inclusive economic growth, and improving financial service availability to mitigate income inequality in Budaka Town Council.
