Abstract
This study investigated the causes of girl- child sex abuse in selected primary school in Busia municipal council schools. Busia municipality. The objectives were; examine the influence of parenting style on girl child sexual abuse in selected primary school of Busia municipal council, investigate the impact of socioeconomic status of the family on girl child sexual abuse in primary school of Busia municipal council and find out ways of curbing girl child sexual abuse in selected primary school of Busia municipal council. The study adopted a case study design. Seven school were targeted with a population of 5163 people. Both stratified and random sampling was applied to sample the respondents. The data was analysed according to the questions using tables, frequency and percentages. The found that parenting style, social economic status have contributed to girl child sexual abuse in Busia Municipality and there is need to enact laws that protect the victims and sensitize communities on girl child protection.
