Abstract
Government is planning to stop importation of used vehicles to support the development of an automobile industry. Speaking at a consultative meeting for the establishment of a truck and bus manufacturing plant in Uganda last Friday, Mr James Onen, the Ministry of Trade Permanent Secretary, said Uganda cannot develop and industrialise when it is still importing used vehicles.
