Abstract
About 140 locals in Moroto District have petitioned the President over alleged misappropriation of Shs22.5 billion compensation for land surface rights for Uganda’s first clinker plant. The government released funds last November to compensate about 8,000 landowners under the Naita-A-Tepeth Communal Land Association, but allegations of forged accountabilities have since emerged.
