This project report presents the design, development, and implementation of an Online Court Case Management System for Kisoko Magistrate Court Grade II in Tororo District, Uganda. The study was motivated by the persistent challenges associated with the manual, paper-based court record management practices still prevalent at the local court level in Uganda, including delayed case processing, loss of court records, limited transparency, and increasing case backlogs. A system development research design was adopted, following the phases of the System Development Life Cycle; requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, development, testing, and evaluation. Data were collected through structured interviews and direct observation of court processes. A mixed-methods approach was used to analyze both qualitative and quantitative aspects of court operations. The system was developed using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with XAMPP used as the local development environment. The resulting system supports key court operations including case registration, hearing scheduling, online document management, case tracking and status monitoring, and automated report generation. Testing results demonstrated that the system is functional, user-friendly, and capable of improving the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of court case management. Findings indicate that the system significantly reduces the time required to process case records and eliminates the risks associated with physical file management. I recommended that Kisoko Magistrate Court adopt the system, supported by adequate training for court personnel, and that similar systems be developed and deployed across other local courts in Uganda.
