Abstract
This research report titled Determinants of household welfare in Kachumbala Town Council,
Bukedea District. The study was guided by the following research objectives; to determine
the Effect of income on Household welfare in Kachumbala Town Council, to analyze the
effect of Education level on Household welfare in Kachumbala Town Council and to
determine the effect of access to land and other agricultural technologies on Household
welfare in Kachumbala Town Council. The findings of the study revealed that majority of the
respondents were aged (21-30) and (31-40) years, more men were engaged in the study
compared to women, and majority of the persons engaged were married. Furthermore the
findings reveal that disparities in educational access significantly contribute to income
inequality, as individuals with higher education levels tend to secure better-paying jobs and
be in position to have a better welfare. Additionally, the lack of diversified employment
opportunities exacerbates income disparities, particularly among the youth and women. The
study concludes with policy recommendations aimed at enhancing educational access,
promoting inclusive economic growth, and improving financial service availability to
mitigate income inequality in Kachumbala Town Council.
