    How to construct on hilly terrain.

Abdu-Wahab Nyanzi, an architect, says building on a hill involves specific detail on certain technicalities. "Concrete floors, hard landscaping, stepping the foundation, retaining walls, drop manholes, access routes, management of run-off water, risk of landslides, appropriate house positioning and management of sewerage are some major aspects to consider before you start the construction," Nyanzi says.

Speaking at the event held at Uganda Manufacturers Association show grounds from February 9 to 11, David Obluk, the head of medical equipment specialised projects, Crown healthcare, a Kenyan company dealing in medical, dental and laboratory equipment said all the products they are exhibiting are European Union approved.

    Greater Masaka to access e-Government network

    Government has finalised arrangements to connect districts in greater Masaka sub-region to the national data transmission backbone infrastructure, also known as e-Government network.     Solar bus makers deny breakdown allegations

    Kiira Motor Corporation, the makers of the solar-powered Kayoola bus have said the bus did not breakdown as alleged but was only supported on a hilly terrain to avoid eventualities. Speaking in a telephone interview yesterday, Mr Paul Musasizi, the Kiira Motor Corporation chief executive officer, said the engineers were following instructions to support the bus while driving on steep terrains, dismissing claims that the bus had breakdown.

    UCC defends social media blockade

    Govt to build Shs4 trillion irrigation scheme in Pallisa.
