Abstract
GULU. An inmate at Lugore Prison in Palaro Sub-county, Gulu District, died shortly after choking on marijuana stuffed in a pill which he had swallowed in an attempt to hide the drugs from Prison authorities, police reported. The deceased, identified as Rogers Ngabirano, 24, a resident of Rukungiri District and serving a 14-year jail term for defilement, was found dead at the prison cell on Sunday morning as prison wardens mounted head counts for inmates.
