Abstract
Back in 1994, H. K Sserwadda, the headteacher of Kalinabiri Secondary School in Ntinda, Kampala, found himself in a dilemma. His teachers demanded salary advance month after month, but the school did not have money. He started a saving scheme to help teachers meet their needs.
